My name is Sean Salansky, I am your resident coffee lover. I strive to create a casual environment devoid of coffee snobbery. I believe that coffee is meant to be enjoyed, my reviews are lighthearted and are geared to the audience looking for some suggestions about how to elevate your morning routine. I don't claim to be an expert and never will, my goal is to simply provide my readers with some insight, on locally roasted beans that will help you get out of your drive-through caramel macchiato rut. I will scour the globe looking for the best beans and the best roasts so that you do not have to spend your time and money searching for your next cup of coffee. I hope my readers will find value in experiencing a unique journey through the flavors of their morning coffee and I would like to humbly provide a road map.

My love for coffee started when I was in school and needed that morning pick me up. I was always deterred by dry, burnt flavors in my coffee and was seeking something more satisfying. I tried everything I could get my hands on before I realized that I wanted to share these experiences with the world. I will write about beans that are part of my daily rotation, review them impartially, and hopefully, you will find a local roaster that you can enjoy every morning as well.

I am of Korean descent, attended college in Appleton, WI, and lived in various provinces of China for nearly half of my life. I could not have arrived at where I am now without stopping for a cup of coffee at every cafe along the way.
