Lima Cold Brew - A Masterfully Designed Cold Brew 9/10

Lima Cold Brew is a fantastic foot forward from the Fort Collins based Lima Coffee Roasters. As a Colorado Local I have the pleasure of experiencing the freshest offerings from some of the local roasters. They have a strong belief and passion about people and how they bring us together. I can't imagine not bringing people together with the fantastic offerings that they have produced.

In Colorado we experience only 2 seasons in which it is extremely hot or incredibly frigid, when it is cold a piping hot cup of coffee, but on the other hand, nothing is more refreshing than a delicious cold cold brew. As we enter the spring months it is important to have a go to cold brew to rely on. I personally tend to gravitate to flavors that either are fruity enough or robust and dark enough to lend bold flavors to the cold brew without the enhancements of milk or cream. The fruity flavors have the acidic qualities needed to stand on their own, and the bold flavors are hearty enough to lend robust cocoa flavors to the cold brew to allow it to stand on its own.

Lima Cold Brew is here to be the go to cold brew roast. It has a beautifully balanced flavor profile that is more than capable of standing alone without any milk or cream. I brewed this through both the Gina By Goat Story cold brew drip method, the Hario cold brew bottle, and the Spinn frothy cold brew function as well. I am happy to report that the Gina by Goat Story is an ode to the classic brewing method that allows the beans to achieve their full potential. If you have the means necessary to create a slow drip pour over method, I cannot recommend it enough, and I also fully recommend keeping the Lima Cold Brew as a permanent fixture in your coffee corner. The cocoa flavors and the orange zest come to the forefront and they work beautifully in tandem to create a symphony of flavors.

In summation, Lima Cold Brew is a must have Spring and Summer. It is beautifully balanced, slightly acidic and displays a great caramel and chocolate flavor with some refreshing citrus notes.
